About Pink Tie

The Pink Tie event is a fashion show featuring breast cancer survivors. The first event took place on Oct. 3, 2009 and attracted about 600 attendees. The original idea was to create a partnership with Sephora and the idea grew into a larger plan to partner with what was then The Avenue Carriage Crossing to create a signature breast cancer event. Since then, the event has been extraordinarily successful and presents an opportunity to promote Baptist’s breast health services and gives breast cancer patients treated at Baptist a venue to share their inspirational stories while educating attendees about breast health in a celebratory and fun environment.

About 25 models participate each year and all are at various points in their breast cancer journeys. About 25 stores and restaurants participate in the event, as well.
