I was diagnosed at the age of 29. I had two aunts who were diagnosed as well but I’m sorry to say they are no longer with us. I have surpassed the ages of both of them. My first aunt died at age 40 and the second died at age 45. I am 50 years old and a 16-year survivor.

Words of Hope

Early detection is also a cure. Do your best and keep your appointment to get your yearly mammogram. It’s been 16 years and I have been doing what I’m asking you to do. Take care of yourself. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Everyday someone wins the fight. I know because I work for The Women’s’ Health Center.
